On 15 February 2023, the TM5 Partners participated in a workshop under the TM5 Bad Faith Trademark Project, which is led by JPO. The workshop was organized by JPO, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Singapore/Bangkok, and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
During the seminar, participants exchanged information with regard to an overview of the Bad Faith Trademark Project, as well as the TM5 Offices' and IPOPHL’s initiatives against bad faith trademark filings. In addition to asking numerous questions of the TM5 Offices, IPOPHL stated that it is important to continue such initiatives in order to prevent bad faith trademark filings. Consequently, IPOPHL and the TM5 Offices were able to confirm their shared understanding with regard to the importance of taking initiatives against such filings.
