At the 2024 TM5 Annual Meeting, the TM5 Partners agreed to declare the TMview project accomplished. The integration of the TM5 Partners’ data into TMview has resulted in a solid foundation for a reliable, free search tool, which covers 78 IP offices and nearly 128 million trade marks. When celebrating the accomplishments of the TM5 project, the Partners expressed admiration for the tool, and acknowledged that it provides access and creates transparency to trade mark data worldwide.
A 2024 survey among users of TM5 jurisdictions revealed general satisfaction with the reliability of the tool and its data. Users particularly praised the tool for its broad coverage, at no cost, its image search and its machine translation capabilities.
The EUIPO will follow up on the results of the user survey to make further improvements and will continue to actively engage with the Partners to ensure timely access to good quality trade mark data in TMview.
